New YS91 Long Stroke

Friday, April 20th, 2007

Hi Guys,

I’ve been testing the new YS91 Long stroke for a little while now with very good results. The motor is producing more power/torque than the current spec engine. The engine is holding head speed better while doing stationary high load maneuvers. I’ll keep you posted on how things are progressing, is definitely going to be something to you want to be trying.

Cheers

Welcome Aboard JR

Thursday, April 19th, 2007

Hi Guys,

I would just like to personally welcome JR PROPO onboard. I’ve received some new products from them for testing and have been extremely impressed by the flight characteristics so far.

I’ve setup the Synergy N9 with DS8711 servos on collective which are 403oz of torque. The extra collective power is phenomenal which makes the model feel even more locked in and precise around centre stick. I’ll add some pics of both the 600 and N9 tomorrow

Cheers

Nigel

Align New upgrades

Monday, December 25th, 2006

Hi All,

I’ve just arrived back from a trip to Align testing a new torque tube, tail gearbox and 6s motor for the 600. Things went extremely well now the tail is even more locked in and super precise and the extra power you guys are going to love.

Jason Krause tried out the new F3C fuselage which penetrated the air extremely well and will look great for the guys planning on using them in competition or for the semi-scale modeler. Every time we go back to Taiwan Jase pulls out the Rafale for some high speed jet action down the field. We must say from the first flight some time ago till now it is getting a lot nicer to handle. John had his electric A-10 Tankbuster ready to test but due to a fan housing rub its been postponed till next time round.

We made a trip down to the south of Taiwan for a fun fly and the 3 1/2 – 4 hour trip in the bus was enough time to catch up on some sleep from the early morning start. The event was held in the city on a vacant block of land and with some obstacle courses set up it proved to be an eventful day. Alan Szabo was laying it down with 600 for the day till the TP pack decided it didn’t want to hang around for the rest of the flight and jettisoned out the front of the heli along with the canopy from about 80 meters. A small seismic event occurred went that hit the ground. Surprisingly, the pack was only a little out of shape but not salvageable for a next charge we thought.

I would just like to thank Alex, Wendy, the engineers, technicians and all the girls in the office for making my trips back to the factory such an enjoyable experience.
